A Recent Intervention I was called to an intervention for a retired RN. This RN was very concerned for her sister. As we talked we found the nurse also was treated a few short years ago. As we chatted about things. I found I was more concerned with this RN than I was with her Sister. Now she and three members of her family will look into getting help. This RN had been suffering Neurological, arthritic, Autonomic issues and had no idea that she was a chronic Lymie. She said the doctor took a test and she tested positive right off the bite. OK, I am not an MD. But I see this way too much. When sufferers test the positive right of the bite. I explained to her. She likely carried the bacteria for years and this Tick brought her to the doctor as she was dropping fast. I suggest she was living with an active infection because detectable antibodies are not detectable for about 6 to 8 weeks I believe. As we left, I looked into her eyes and told her. A very common statement made to the Tick-borne disease community is: You are looking great, of coarse, we say thank you, while we unravel on the inside. Her eyes spoke back to me saying yes and now she has someone that believes her. Yes, You won't get it until you get it. And then sometimes you don't get it until you chat with those that have it.
