I missed the Katie Curric show today and found enough online to make a statement. It is as follows.
Hello Katie, I am an advanced Lyme sufferer with much damage to my organs and recovering very slowly with a hope of maybe 60 to 70 % of the man I use to be. I did write a book of my story called " My Successes Through Challenge and Adversity " and then took up advocating for Lyme sufferers through my website at www.throughchallenge.com. I thank you for addressing this issue and Dr. Horowitz was a good knowledgeable doctor to talk to about it. With all of the censorship of Lyme disease in the past 40 yrs. and the political wrangling and profit margins for drug companies and insurance companies refusing to acknowledge an epidemic. There must come a reprieve soon or this country along with many countries of the world are going to suffer greatly. Economically, the work force of the world will be damaged greatly and there will not be enough commerce to cover the loss. If this all sounds scary to you. Thank you for seeing this terrible disease for was it is. There have been diseases in the past that have been game changers. This is more than a game changer if this is not handled very soon. I have people coming to me wanting to know what to do and if they could have lyme, or a couple called lately wanting to know if after they were tested positive and treated with CDC protocols and then tested negative. These people wanted to know if this monster could come back. I said it definitely can and with CDC protocols, it more than likely will. I am not a Doctor, But I am an advanced lyme sufferer with 30 years of suffering with wrong diagnosis to fighting for my life through Advanced Lyme ( Late Stage Lyme ) as the scientist and political arena chooses to call it. My blog carries much of my experience through lyme with my articles and an occasional update into the lyme issues of the day. My wife also is fighting the fight of lyme disease and we feel she has been sick for as long as Myself and we had met many years after infection. There are whole families suffering this terrible disease. And On top of the lyme there is the co-infections that almost all lyme sufferers deal with. So you see, when you talk about Lyme, you must include tick born diseases also. Thank you for this opportunity for the vent and if you need to talk. I would make myself available. Thank you, David R Thomas / firstname.lastname@example.org
